There is a huge debate and you can get lost in the whole discussions.
What you cant miss is the conviction in the tone of the mother when she speaks of what she is waiting for.
JUSTICE!!
With the loss and sorrow of losing the daughter in one of the most brutal rape cases in india , this woman has been crushed and then has somehow gathered herself to fight.
Even if she hails from a small town of the biggest democracy of the world, she speaks with clarity and logic in all this mess around her.
So what the journalist might be doing this for TRP , so what the lawyers are doing this for publicity, The fact of the matter is clear to her.
There is no remorse!
I believe the documentary would just show the mentality of an convict already jailed for 2.5 years and counting.
If this is how a a normal Indian man would talk after serving 2.5 years in jail for such a heinous crime, imagine what is going under the mind of a serial rapist ? What all the men on the roads, buses , trains are thinking then ?
This is how men are raised in this country ?
Yes its a social issue and yes its a judicial issue too.
For the "mango people" of the country its also a psychological issue.
Its so deep in the psychology, first the decades old stereotypes need to be shattered.
Its easier said than done however time is here to do what is needed and change.
Yes its not going to be easy and yes the traditions ( specifically Indian ) are old as stone to be break free from, however this has to be done.
Equate genders.
From birth , equate both.
Educate and equate both.
For opportunities - equate both.
Pay packages - equate both.
Child leaves - equate both.
Pension plans - equate both.
Share of property - equate both.
And am not talking of just doing this on paper. actually ensuring its DONE!
And any government cannot do this for us.
Nor can the media.
People have to be the change.
Once the psychological aspect starts, then we can come to the sociological aspect.
Once the mind set starts to shift , there will be issues visible around us , where before things were just taken for granted.
So when you see a boy teasing and making a girl uncomfortable , dispute of saying " Oh he is just being a boy" one might get a notion, may be i need to ensure that the boy knows this is not acceptable and that is not how you make the other one feel. We just might stop him and ensure he gets the message as the girl!! She doesn't have to bear with the "boy being a boy ".
Just may be !
May be the teacher gets a message too , who felt before that its ok to make the female students uncomfortable just because he can!
As for judicial -I just have one question , where the hell is a fast track court in this case?
there is a DNA test , there you have the 4 of 5 convicts, the girl has died a brutal death she never deserved. what is the Indian judicial system waiting for ??
Is this going to be another case of kasab ?
What is the message all this is giving the people of India? there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Should we then take matters in the hands of the people of the nation ??
Because its taking so bloody long for the judicial system to make up their mind and putting a decision into place.
Why should the common people not know what a rapist actually thinks ?
After hearing the malignant views of the convicts , is there any thread of doubt left if it will be right to hang them till death ? they need to be hanged as many times as they hurt that girl.
On the other hand, why no Indian channel came forward to make a documentary on this? Media just sways in the direction what is trending , is that so ?
Was the Indian media lost in counting the cars in Kejriwal's canvoy ? or How much did the Modi suit auctioned for?
Is this responsible reporting ?
When there is a documentary made on this matter, whats the reason that the Indian government decides to ban its release in India ?
I mean , really ?
Ban female infanticide
Ban cow slaughter if you must
Ban public urination
Ban plastic
Ban the industrial waste in the water
Its said that documentary is giving the rapist a platform for expressing his side of the story and this views.
well, how did it make you feel after hearing what he had to say?
A. it appalled you as it was "highly derogatory and affront to the dignity of women
B. it seems somewhat correct to you however you couldn't agree to these ideas on a public platform because of obvious reasons
If its A.
You share the feelings of 44% of the Indian population ( considering the skewed sex ratio in the northern half of the country).
yes its derogatory but does it make you hang your head in shame ?? Knowing that's what the rape convict close to execution thinks of the women of the country ?
The commercial gains you wished to stop from releasing this, let me tell you , the tourist will find out how unsafe this country is for women and yes the incoming foreign currency will fall out!
The incredible India is turning into incredible Hippocritical India .
The world will get to know it unless you use your power in the right direction and make things right at the grass root level.
As for the monetary gains of film maker, if none of the dimwits in Indian media had the guts to do this , Why should a perfectly true and mirroring film not come into the lime light ?? Its her efforts, for once give it to the woman what she deserves and has earned !!
It your answer is B.
Admitting it is the first step !
You stand with 54% of the population ( leaving 2% of the sane population in hope of sanity)
I believe you should then dig a hole and bury yourself in it as you are no different than a huge bird who burrows the head in sand when in danger (of outdated meaningless orthodox demeaning thoughts.)
Looks like you have stayed there for centuries.
Suggest , seek professional help before you open your mouth and pray that Delhi women have some more patience left in them to not do the Nagaland version of decision in Delhi gang rape case decision.
To Mr. Modi,
he mentions the below promise on his website
His promise is to build a nation that is strong, prosperous and inclusive, where each and every Indian can realize their hopes and aspirations.
i wonder what does he has to say about this.
How will #makeinindia work if almost half of the work force of this nation is considered weak, a commodity , non human?
How will india be strong without the women in india being stronger ?
Its time to show results and put a strong example in front of the nation and the world. Thas got to stop!!
or we are progressing towards a very very dangerous barbaric times.
As the mythology says - the same female is Durga and Kali both. choice is yours!!
#indiasdaughters #womenpower #justiceforall #makeinindia #pmoindia #namo
